Expand Your Therapy Toolkit

This workshop equips you with tools that guide clients to expand their capacity for compassionate witnessing and provide clients with options for moving beyond automatic patterns and stress physiology responses. With somatic and relationship empowerment interventions, clients can experience faster, more sustainable changes, requiring less effort on your part.

In this 3.5 hour workshop, you’ll expand your therapy toolkit and learn ways to integrate education, somatic and attachment modalities, and relationship empowerment strategies. There are so many excellent approaches to learn, but we can’t invest in every multi-year training program. My goal is to make valuable tools from complex modalities more accessible to more therapists. This workshop integrates and draws primarily on my training in Somatic Experiencing (SE), Integral Somatic Psychology (ISP/emotional embodiment), and Relational Life Therapy (RLT). My work is also heavily influenced by Julianne Taylor Shore’s work on interpersonal neurobiology and boundaries, Abi Blakeslee and Dave Berger’s somatic Rupture and Repair workshop, and Diane Poole Heller’s books on working with attachment styles.

Hi! I'm Rebekah Miller.

I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist and a somatic experiencing practitioner. I have personally found that integrating Somatics + Embodied Attachment Styles + Relationship Empowerment skills can inspire your work, help clients reach their goals faster, and rejuvenate your energy. There are so many excellent approaches to learn, but we can’t invest in every multi-year training program.

Through my years of practice, I've witnessed firsthand the power of integrating somatic approaches, embodied attachment styles, and relationship empowerment skills. I understand the challenges of balancing ongoing education with the demands of a busy practice. That's why I've dedicated myself to creating accessible workshops that distill the essence of multiple therapeutic modalities into practical, actionable strategies.

My goal is to make valuable tools from complex modalities more accessible to more therapists.

Is this workshop right for you?

Are you ready to expand your somatic therapy toolkit? This workshop offers a guide to integrating somatic strategies, interpersonal neurobiology, emotional embodiment, and relationship empowerment into your practice. This workshop could be right for you if you are interested in learning to:

Confidently explain and introduce somatic strategies and interpersonal neurobiology to clients in a way that will feel good to you and make sense to them.

Integrate skills that draw from complex somatic and relational modalities and make interventions feel simple, understandable, and doable.

Guide clients to compassionately witness and build options to move out of their automatic somatic and emotional responses that keep them stuck in their patterns. These somatic interventions have the potential to help clients feel better and make changes faster, with less effort on your part.

Use somatic and relationship empowerment interventions to help stuck clients build embodiment skills that enable them to get unstuck. When clients practice embodiment skills, they can feel more empowered to take different desired actions in their lives and relationships outside of therapy.

Intervene somatically when individuals or couples are building into activated states in session, so that they can learn and practice confident down-regulation in the room. This will teach them essential somatic skills that build client empowerment when they begin to become dysregulated, and it can also decrease the intensity of the activation that you are managing in the session.

Use a Somatic-Decision Making framework to help you decide which somatic, attachment, and relationship empowerment interventions to use, so that you can begin to incorporate this confidently into your work, which in turn will help clients embody secure attachment and increase their nervous system resilience.
